Iranian video art “Sculpture” wins at Los Angeles Movie and Music Video Awards

TEHRAN-The Iranian video art “Sculpture” has won two awards at the summer edition of Los Angeles Movie and Music Video Awards in the U.S.

Written, directed, and composed by Ramin Hosseinpour, it won the awards for the best rock music video and best VFX: music video at the 30th edition of the festival, Mehr reported.

The video art is about the life story of Persian poet and mystic Molana Jalal ad-Din Rumi and Shams Tabrizi. Rumi undertook one or two journeys to Syria, during one of which he met the dervish Shams. However, he was deeply influenced by Shams during their second visit to Konya in 1244.

For months, the two men constantly interacted, and as a result, Rumi neglected his disciples and family, who could not tolerate the close relationship.

One night in 1247, Shams disappeared forever. This experience turned Rumi into a poet. The Divan of Shams (The Collected Poetry of Shams) is a true translation of his experiences into poetry.

Hosseinpour’s video art has won several awards at various international festivals so far. It recently won the Best Composer Award at the 26th LA Sun Film Fest in Los Angeles, the U.S.

Its previous achievements include the award for Best Animated Music Video in the HALO International Film Festival in Saint-Petersburg, Russia; the award for the best documentary script from the King Film Awards 2023 in London; and the Best Experimental Music Video award at the 16th Berlin International Art Film Festival in Germany among many others.

Hosseinpour, 37, is a multi-talented international artist, professionally working in the international media. He is an architect, conceptual artist, writer, director, producer, and composer.

He has won awards in more than 54 international festivals in Munich, Vancouver, Paris, Moscow, New York, Boden, Las Vegas, Saint-Petersburg, Rome, Los Angeles, etc.

Iranian artist Ramin Hosseinpour added another accolade to his name, winning the award for Best Rock Music Video and Special Effects at the 30th Los Angeles Film and Music Video Festival in July 2024.
Hosseinpour, a multi-talented creator, wrote, directed, and composed the music for ‘Sculpture,’ a video art piece that showcases his unique storytelling and innovative visual style, Mehr News Agency reported.
‘Sculpture,’ also known as ‘Sooratgar’ in Persian, is a conceptual art piece that brings to life the stories of Rumi and Shams Tabrizi. The project highlights Hosseinpour’s skills as an electric guitarist and singer as well.
With a background in architecture, music, and cinema, Hosseinpour’s work transcends traditional boundaries. He is recognized as a designer, instructor, and author in architecture and as a poet, composer, arranger, and instrumentalist in music. به گزارش خبرگزاری موج، همایش رونمایی از دوره های اشتغال محور ۴.۶. ۹۵ با حضور اساتید و معماران مجرب توسط مرکز معماری ایران برگزار شد. سخنرانان این نشست تخصصی آقای مهندس مجتبی فاطمی، آقای دکتر رامین حسین پور، آقای دکتر شهاب میرزاییان و آقای مهندس پیمان فاضلی راد بودند که راهکارهایی جهت ارتقای دانش عملی و حرفه ای مهندسین معماری و عمران را بیان کردند. همچنین در این نشست تخصصی آمار و نرخ بیکاری رشته های عمران و معماری بیان شد و مرکز معماری ایران راهکارهای خود را برای حل این معضل مطرح کرد. از جمله راهکارهای مرکز معماری ایران تدوین دوره های اشتغال محور و ارجاع کار آموز به شرکت های مطرح معماری و عمران بود که حدود ۳۰ شرکت در این همایش حضور پیدا کردند و موافقت خود را جهت پذبرش کارآموز اعلام نمودند. از جمله این مهندسین که با پذیرش کاراموز دست همکاری به مرکز معماری ایران دادند می توان به آقای مهندس رضا مفاخر، اقای مهندس رضا نجفیان، سرکار خانم مهندس حبیبه مجدآبادی، آقای دکتر فرهنگ شعفی، آقای مهندس کوروش منصوری، مهندس کریم اصفهانی، مهندس مهرداد غروی زاده و…
